The company was formed in January 1995 to provide Possession Planning and Work Package Planning to specialised organisations requiring track access to Network Rails controlled Infrastructure. A Safe System of Work planning service was introduced in 2002 following the mandatory requirements of the Network Rail standard Safety of People Working Working On or Near the Line (RIMINI) .

In 2008 we expanded our services to include the supply of Contingent Labour and On Track Protection & Warning Services more recently in 2012 we were accredited by the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering (NSARE) as a Network Rail approved Workplace Assessment Provider delivering Track Safety Workplace Assessments to both internal and external track safety personal.

ON TRACK DIVISION

Seaton Rail has a full time, directly employed On Track Division, together with our large database of Support Staff we can offer full UK nationwide coverage of contingent on-track labour and protection & warning staff for safety critical manpower requirements covering all aspects of rail work.

The railway industry no longer simply requires recruitment agencies to supply a labour force, the rail industry requires qualified and experienced staff to assess and resource the needs of individual clients on a project to project basis.

Seaton Rail offer dedicated industry specialists to resource and supply experienced personnel that match clients’ bespoke requirements to ensure the client and their project receive the attention and ongoing support that optimise ‘best practice’ working.

To ensure that Seaton Rail supply the best operative for the task, all staff are vetted for skills, expertise and experience at the initial application stage, followed up by tightly controlled training and competency management procedures to ensure staff are working with the latest methodology and safe working practices.

Seaton Rail, through a vigorous induction process, promote a positive Health and Safety culture ensuring all staff, other contractors and members of the public are not at risk from the dangers associated with the railway industry.

OFF TRACK DIVISION

Our products and services meet your needs both within and outside the Sentinel competency framework.

Non PTS workers and staff are available to you across the UK for any work being undertaken that requires trades and labour, supervision, professional, technical or executive staff. We’ll run our standard service for all hires on your general property and assets.

As soon as the work content requires a PTS competency our service clicks into place with safety, compliance and training procedures providing the business assurance you need at this level and above.

We can supply a wide range of operatives with supervisory skills whether your needs are off or on the track.

Off track we have a nationwide labour force of competent workers on hire, many with wider supervisory skills that add value to their placement with Clients.

We are constantly looking for supervisory skills within the workforce and will work with you to identify and promote those individuals so that both your workforce and ours will benefit.
